Should We Rethink Gratefulness? + When A.I. Replaces The Almighty

The Creator's Checkup

Helping You Become the Creator You Were Created to Be

Great or Grateful?

I shared a LinkedIn post recently that felt a little depressing.

It wasn't intended to be, but my tone may have been off.

I intended to express how humbling it is to realize that all of my success comes from the efforts and help of others.

And as we celebrate a Thanksgiving weekend here in the US, we should remember that gratitude starts with thinking of others.

However, it goes both ways. I'm grateful for what God has done FOR me, but I'm also grateful for what God has done THROUGH me.

I honor the source, but I also honor the work and celebrate the results.

It's this balance between giving and receiving that makes our work as creators so special. We get to give from our creative talents, but we always end up receiving the benefits almost as fast as we provide them.

So remember that greatness doesn't come from you - but because you serve a Great God, it does flow THROUGH you to bless others.

That's something to be thankful for, in every season.

Divine Attention to Details As we step into this year's celebration of the risen Savior, one thought has been echoing in my mind. Jesus had the most important mission of all time - which meant He had the most potential distractions of anyone who ever lived. Any missed moment, lapse of judgement, or wasted opportunity could have potentially knocked Him off course on His way to fulfill God's purpose. And yet, He didn't let a single ball drop. He took care of His family, even in His dying...

God and Gigs 360 Gold (Presentation (16:9))

Only one question This is a different kind of "Creator Checkup"... ..because I'm the one that needs checking on. I'm sending you this in the midst of the recovery period after a tough two weeks with my family. And while I know everyone in our community is facing something...it's important that I'm open and honest with you. Because it doesn't make sense to call this a "Checkup" if we don't admit when things are going right and when things are going wrong. My wife and I use this method all the...

Just how many hats are you wearing? I don't mean fedoras, sombreros or trucker hats, of course. I'm referring the metaphorical 'hats' that we all wear in our different roles, both in our creative work and in our families and personal lives. I experienced the hat-switching at a brand new level just this week, as I found myself coordinating a band for an artist 400 miles away, while simultaneously working on our church's podcast recording and publishing. Surely this is a sign of potential...
