Small Steps = Big Faith

The most difficult steps in your creative life are often the simplest.

Steps like hitting the 'send' or 'publish' button.

Actually picking up the phone to call back that prospect.

Making the appointment to audition for the role.

Applying for the LLC that legitimizes your creative business.

None of these steps are hard in themselves...but the mental battle to follow through with your commitment can be intense.

I experienced this for myself when I applied to speak at Podcast Movement in New York this coming September.

I've been blessed to speak numerous times at Podfest Expo in Orlando and in their virtual events, as well as Podmatch's Podcasting Made Simple LIVE., Vidfest Expo in Atlanta, and of course many presentations here in South Florida.

But stepping out and submitting to be a part of a conference I've only attended once, and that represents a whole new level of expertise and experience? That's a little scary.

Which is why I knew I had to follow through and hit the 'submit' button.

It's those moments of fear and anxiety that prove you are moving in the right direction.

Far from being a reason to step back, God provides the opportunities for you to step into the bigger-than-you goals and dreams so He can partner with your faith and move mountains you thought couldn't be moved.

I pray you'll sense God's comfort and encouragement when you hit a moment of pause right before taking a small step that will result in achieving a big dream.
