If your week looked like this...you're not alone 🤪

If you ever wanted an example of what a multi-passionate creative life looks like, my last 10 days are exhibit A.

Here's a quick summary of how many hats I was blessed to wear since last Saturday...

  • Saturday evening - leading an R&B band for a corporate event
  • Sunday through Wednesday - leading a band / worship music for our church anniversary conference
  • Wednesday night - fly a red-eye flight to New York
  • Thursday morning - speaking on stage at Podcast Movement NYC
  • Friday afternoon - fly back to South Florida
  • Sunday morning - leading the worship band in church services
  • Sunday afternoon - jazz / soul gig with a trio and vocalist at a local restaurant
  • Monday morning - fly out to Chicago
  • Monday evening - play a private blues gig with a friend in a historic venue
  • Tuesday - tour Chicago and then fly back

Why do I tell you all this?

Because, while you may have not been on a plane or conference stage over the last week, you've probably had your share of juggling different roles as a creative, family member and church ministry volunteer.

While every faith-focused creative lifestyle is unique, there's some things we all have in common:

  1. We all have to make minute-by-minute decisions on where we will place our focus.
  2. We all question whether we are following God's path as accurately as we hope.
  3. We all know God has called us to something bigger than we realize, and we seek guidance and wisdom as we discover exactly what it is.

I had no idea 15 years ago that God's creative path for me would have me speaking on national stages about podcasting, leading a worship band weekly, and writing devotionals on the most popular Bible app in the world.

But every step in the journey was necessary to enact His plan for my creative life. And the same is true for you.

If you've felt isolated and alone as you navigate a creative journey that doesn't look or feel like anyone else's around you - that's why we created God and Gigs 360 for you.

Our membership helps you understand that God created a specific creative lifestyle just for you - and we're all walking it out together.

Join us and find out just how intentional God was when he designed you and gave you your gifts.

Got a lot on your mind? Well, if you don't, I'd love to learn how you keep yourself from being overrun by all of the things that surround us daily. Like many creatives, my biggest mental battle is usually overthinking and being unable to 'switch off'. Wake up...and immediately thoughts of to-do lists, worries and events flood my head. Try to go to sleep...and I'm besieged by that "one more thing" rattling around in my brain that I didn't finish, post or complete. Maybe that's you as well....

If you're fighting a battle for your peace, you're fighting a good fight. I've become more and more aware that my greatest daily challenge is not achieving my dreams, or making a tremendous income. It's experiencing daily peace and joy without being overwhelmed by my circumstances. Isaiah 26:3 provides the key to achieving this kind of peace. You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. (ESV) The question is this: do we, as creatively oriented...

Sometimes...every once in a while.... God makes it obvious. Attending the 2nd ever YouVersion Partner Summit in Oklahoma City this week was more than a full-circle moment. It was God making the path clear - and I want to make sure that you see how your creative life is a part of that path. For those who don't know, YouVersion is the ministry that created the first Bible app. It's the most popular Bible platform in the world, and is now on more than a billion devices. I became a YouVersion...
